PhilHealth Letter Regarding Scrap PhilHealth Circular No. 022

letter_PhilHealth

The said letter is intended to correct my impression that said circular no. 022 was created by two people. However, instead of rewriting the paragraph found at PhilHealth Circular No. 022 is an Added Burden to The Millions of OFWs Worldwide, I just decided that corrections from PhilHealth should be made available on public.

The paragraph said, "Obviously, the PhilHealth Circular No. 022 was created by two people: Dr. Eduardo P. Banzon and MA. TERESA A. QUIAGIT and approved by them without the approval of other Board Members and other Executive Officers of PhilHealth. It was created on December 15, 2011. The said circular is not only addressed to the 11 million+ OFWs around the world but also to all the Filipinos in Philippines. To read the said Circular No. 022 visit the link PhilHealth Circular No. 022."

I found the letter with good intentions and this article will serve as my acceptance and approval. Above is a scanned copy of the said letter I received on January 30, 2012 at around 12:41PM Saudi Time dated January 27, 2012.

As of this writing there are already 660 Filipinos have joined the petition and yet still very far to 1-M target-ted signatures – so if you are a Filipino living in Philippines and abroad you are hereby invited to join the said petition – go to this link No to PhilHealth Premium Increase Scrap Circular No. 022. And if possible share this call to your family, relatives, friends and friends of friends around the world!

A Call to All The Filipinos in Philippines and Abroad: Scrap The PhilHealth Circular No. 022

Logo of PhilHealth

Image via Wikipedia

The Migrante Middle East petition said, “The hike in OFWs health insurance premium will not only bleed us (OFWs and dependents) dry, it also sucks out our blood leading ‘to death due to deprivation of free and affordable social services’. The government through various agencies is killing us so softly by imposing additional fees in pretense of better social services.”

The Migrante Middle East is appealing to all fellow OFWs around the world, their dependents, friends and OFWs advocates to join their campaign by signing the petition and help pass it on to others and urge them to "Scrap Philippine Health Circular No. 022 – this is about the increase of PhilHealth annual premium contribution from P900 to P2,400 which will effect on July 1, 2012.

I searched out the names of the Board of Directors of PhilHealth and to know also if the said PhilHealth Circular No. 022 is approved by all the board of directors but unfortunately out of 14 members only one has affixed his signature to PhilHealth Circular No. 022 in the named of Dr. Eduardo P. Banzon and the other name who also signed her signature was not in the list or not in the list of Executive Officers. The PhilHealth Board of Directors are as follows:

  1. Board Chair: Hon. Enrique T. Ona, M.D.
  2. CSC Chairman: Hon. Francisco T. Duque III, M.D., MSc
  3. DILG Secretary: Hon. Jesse M. Robredo
  4. DSWD Secretary: Hon. Corazon J. Soliman
  5. DOLE Secretary: Hon. Rosalinda D. Baldoz
  6. Health Care Providers Sector: Hon. Juan M. Flavier, M.D.
  7. Labor Sector: Hon. Alexander A. Ayco, M.D.
  8. Employers Sector/President and Chief Executive Officer: Hon. Dr. Eduardo P. Banzon
  9. Self Employed Sector: Hon. Francisco Vicente F. Lopez M.D.
  10. SSS President & CEO: Hon. Emilio S. De Quiros, Jr.
  11. GSIS President & General Manager: Hon. Robert G. Vergara
  12. NAPC-BS Vice Chairman: Hon. Florencia P. Cabatingan
  13. Filipino Overseas Workers: Hon. Jane M.N. Sta. Ana
  14. Corporate Secretary: Atty. Genesis M. Adarlo

Obviously, the PhilHealth Circular No. 022 was created by two people in named of Dr. 022.

The said PhilHealth Circular No. 022 is believed by Filipinos in Philippines including the 11 million+ OFWs as against the REPUBLIC ACT No. 10022 – AN ACT AMENDING REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8042, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE MIGRANT WORKERS AND OVERSEAS FILIPINOS ACT OF 1995, AS AMENDED, FURTHER IMPROVING THE STANDARD OF PROTECTION AND PROMOTION OF THE WELFARE OF MIGRANT WORKERS, THEIR FAMILIES AND OVERSEAS FILIPINOS IN DISTRESS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

Under the RULE XVII: MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS – Section 4. Government Fees, Administrative Costs and Taxes. All fees for services being charged by any government agency on migrant workers prevailing at the time of the effectivity of this Rule shall not be increased. This RA No. 10022 was officially approved and signed by the former president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo on March 08, 2010.

The Migrante Middle East said “We are targeting 1-M signatures by July 2012, the supposed start of imposing PhilHealth premium of P2,400 from the current P900. With our position paper, we will send the signatures to President Noynoy Aquino and to the PhilHealth Board members, members of the Senate and House of Representatives.”

As of this writing there are already 502 Filipinos have joined the petition and yet still very far to 1-M target-ted signatures – so if you are Filipinos living in Philippines and Abroad you are hereby invited to join the said petition – go to this link No to PhilHealth Premium Increase Scrap Circular No. 022. And if possible share this call to your family, relatives, friends and friends of friends around the world!

Fly Me to Visit Someone–a Contest Hosted by Nymgo

Nymgo is heating up its social media efforts by celebrating and honoring the hard work of expats and all kinds of people living all over the globe by launching the "Nymgo, fly me to visit someone"contest on its regional Facebook pages.

Nymgo_Fly Me To Visit Someone Good news for the people of Bangladesh, Egypt, India, Nigeria, and Pakistan through Fly Me To Visit Someone which is a contest hosted by Nymgo, take the opportunity to visit a friend living in another side of the globe. Nymgo is awarding a total of 5 competitions and 5 round trip airplane tickets to one person on each of these Facebook pages the chance to fly anywhere in the world – by simply choosing a friend that he/she would like to visit. The contestant will simply upload a picture along with a required caption of maximum 500 words long explaining why he/she should win the trip to see that person.

About Nymgo – it is a software application that makes calls from computers to landlines and mobile phones over the Internet through Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). Nymgo charges users for each minute of a call from credit that users have purchased through the application. Since its launch in December 2008,  Nymgo has hosted more than 200 million minutes of user calls in 55 countries. Nymgo’s voice business model is unique in that it has a 100% paying customer base for its voice-only calling services, thus making it a type of competitor with other VoIP services such as Skype, Fring and Nimbuzz.

In early 2012, Nymgo will be the first known VoIP software company to bring its extreme pricing to international calls on its native iOS and Android apps. While both smart phones and VoIP technology have been around for years, Nymgo has married these two concepts together to bring crystal clear mobile-to-anywhere calling at the same rates they have come to expect from PC’s. Nymgo specializes in paid VoIP long distance calling, it is able to focus on giving consumers the first real alternative to that which is offered by the mobile network operators. You get a great quality of service, backed by their Fair Pricing and Every Day Low Pricing policies.

Omar Onsi, CEO and Founder of Nymgo noted in October 2010 that “since 2008, Nymgo has had 2 million downloads and all customers are paying. Last year 400 billion minutes were terminated all around the world. Nygmo goes after all international minutes and not just one group. We target expat communities, travelers and others. End users are the biggest user group for us.”

In October of 2010, Intel Capital announced that Nymgo would be one of the three companies receiving a Series A investment round from its $50 million start-up fund. In 2011, Nymgo received announced a joint investment from Intel Capital and Abraaj Capital for an undisclosed sum. Nymgo has since revamped its networking infrastructure to improve its core voice-only calling business model and has begun the process of re branding its client apps and website user experience all the while preparing to roll out native smart-phone applications for the iPhone and Android OS in early 2012.

Pruelpo Shares Wikinut Had Become The Most Visited Site

Wikinut-Logo-Image-via-Wikinut-Site Wikinut is not an advertising site, a news site or a social networking site. The site is just a plain friendly publishing site that accepts articles of different subject topics written by authors from around the world. Now Wikinut becomes the most visited site and had become one of the favorite sites for the hungry and thirsty search engines crawlers.

My heart beats faster to see the 907 views. My first feeling was I am speechless when I log-on at Wikinut this morning. Everyday when I visited Wikinut, the first thing I had to look at is my Wikinut Stats. Why? My daily views suggest many things such as:

  1. How I can improve my writing capabilities?
  2. How to write articles with relevant and quality contents?
  3. What tools and methods I should use to help attract traffics?
  4. What to do to get more views?
  5. How to share my articles to other networks without spamming?
